Maui
Maui, the Magic Isle with its romantic settings, world-class golf courses, day-time adventures, exciting nightlife, fine dining and pristine beaches can arguably be classified as one of the world’s favorite islands. In fact, readers of Conde Nast Traveler and Travel + Leisure magazines have consistently voted Maui as the “Best Island in the World.” Whether you’re the rugged traveler or the one looking to step back and be luxuriously pampered, the Magic Isle is the place for you.
Spend some time in historic Lahaina town and venture into one of its art galleries, fine dining restaurants, or take a sunset dinner cruise from its harbor. And if you fancy heading out to sea by day, then make sure to book yourself on a snorkel cruise. You can find ample resort and condominium accommodation all through the west from Lahaina to Kapalua.

Maui’s has 3 airports, the main one in Kahului. Here, you can connect direct to the continental US or the other island destinations. This part of the island hosts the Maui Arts & Cultural Center and the Queen Ka’ahumanu Center.

Plan ahead for the journey to Hana as the winding drive to this town from Kahului can take you up to 3 hours. This drive is a treat for the traveler that appreciates lush green flora as fertile soil and mossy plants border the road. Among other treats, the visitor will also enjoy black sand beaches, waterfalls, lush rain forests and taro patches. Once in Hana, if you’re up to cooling off, then make the journey to the “Sacred Pools.”
No trip to the Magic Isle is complete without a visit to Haleakala National Park. Atop the 10,000 foot crater, you can catch spectacular views of the surrounding ocean. And if you happen to be there between November and April, and have not gone on a whale watching cruise, then you can catch views of these beautiful mammals from the top.

With perfect weather, breathtaking scenery, affordable and up market places to stay right on uncrowded beachfronts, Maui is a treat for the soul. Welcome to the Magic Isle.
